New Toy

Audrey enjoys sitting up as a change of pace from lying on her back or stomach. However, she is having trouble reaching those toys, which can be very frustrating, especially when they look so delicious.

Audrey really wanted to put those toys in her mouth. Thanks to our friend Janel for loaning us the cool activity seat.

Making Grandpa's Day

My dad has had a model train layout since I was a toddler. His father had a model train layout. But he couldn't quite get any of us kids to be that interested. He has decided to get Audrey into trains at an early age. And she actually seems to dig them so far.

Playing With Teya

Audrey had a fun afternoon playing with her friend Teya, who she will be seeing every Mondays now. Eventually Teya can show her the ropes on crawling, standing, and pretty soon, walking. HOwever, right now Teya is more interested in climbing on top of Audrey.

Grandma Visits

My mom came up on Saturday to watch our little Audrey while Mike and I cashed in on his radio prize from last year--a gift certificate to a seafood restaurant. The meal was delicious and Grandma reported that Audrey was an angel. But then again, she is pretty biased.

Happy Birthday Daddy!

Good Morning.

Excited for a walk.

Mike turned 31 yesterday. Time sure does fly. We had a laid back dinner at home yesterday and tonight we will be going out to a nice seafood restaurant while Grandma Patti babysits.

Audrey continues to change and grow so much week to week. This week it seems like she has been concentrating on developing her "vocabulary" and has been pretty pleased with herself and all the different noises she can make, including laughter now, which you can hear a little bit of in this video of Audrey right after waking up from a nap.

In other Audrey news, she slept through the night for the first time last night--8 p.m. to 6 a.m. Hopefully this becomes a common occurence and is not just a big tease.

Picture Day

Yesterday I took Audrey to get her 3-month-old pictures taken. Audrey was in a great mood for the photo session, but kept smiling after the photographer would snap a picture. The photos still turned out great.

On the Move

Audrey is quite an active 3-month old who doesn't sit still unless she's sleeping. Right now she loves kicking around in her bouncer, kicking around on the floor and even kicking around in my arms when I'm walking around carrying her. She's also trying out all sorts of ways to make sounds. Every once in a while a single, real, laugh comes out. But no giggles yet. Mostly they are shrieks, coos, gurgles or coughs. Still music to her mom's ears.

Last of the Vacation Pics

We are back home now, recovering from a long car ride from North Carolina. Once again, Audrey was a great traveler, although she did hit her breaking point the last hour in the car. We were glad to be home!

Life's a Beach

Cousin Ben

Audrey's cousin Ben has been especially sweet, but shy with her. He likes coming over to say hi to her and fetches her pacifier and sun hat for her.

Milestone Day

Audrey rolled over today. Her mom and I could not be more proud!!! I have watched this video a hundred times so everyone enjoy! FYI - she has done it about a dozen times now.

Cousin Matt

Audrey's cousins have been curious but cautious about the little baby that has come on vacation with them. Maybe by the end of the week they will get close enough to touch her.
