18 Hour Road Trip

One thing stood in our way between home and vacation: an 18-hour car ride. Audrey was a real trooper.

VACATION!!!!

I have wanted to get Audrey in a pool for awhile now. It was met with mixed reviews, but overall she dug it (I think)

Bonding With Dad

Audrey's nighttime feeding--which Mike gives her--has become a great bonding time for the two of them. She loves her daddy!

Not Quite

Audrey has been doing so good with holding her head up, I thought we'd give her booster seat a try.

"Okay, maybe not."

What's This Taste Like?

Audrey is starting to be interested in putting things in her mouth. Unfortunately, her motor skills aren't that great just yet, so usually it's me holding something to her mouth so she can taste it. But by accident she stuck her rattle in her mouth yesterday (she was trying to get her fist up there). The second, third and fourth times I think she knew what she was doing.

Hello Dolly

Audrey got a new doll that she is quite fascinated with from her Grandma Wetzel.

She's also pretty into her stuffed cow from Grandma Patty. He keeps her company in her crib.

Fun Weekend

We had a great weekend in Rochelle with the grandparents, and this is the only picture I took. We were just too busy playing with Audrey to remember to grab the camera. This was before Audrey's first trip to the library--Rochelle's library was having a used book sale!

Umbrella Stroller

Good news in the Wetzel household--Audrey is stable enough to keep upright in an umbrella stroller--which means we will have a lot more room in the van when we road trip it to North Carolina in a week. The umbrella stroller takes up about a fifth as much space as her every day stroller.

Future's So Bright

Our friend Kristy invited us out to her family's cottage in Wisconsin last weekend for a day of fun in the sun, boat rides and jet skiing. Audrey seemed to be soothed by the sound of the water and took a great nap in the afternoon so her parents could get in a game of bags and some good old fashioned lounging. Thanks Paukners!!!

Talking to Daddy

Audrey is quite the talker when she is content and happy, so right after or during a feeding she has lots to say. This is a long video. After the first few seconds, you get the idea, but the whole video is pretty precious.
